Lee Jae-wook Sends Sweet Video Message to Shin Ye-eun from Military Service for 'Doctor Som Boy' Press Conference

Actor Lee Jae-wook sent a surprise video message to greet everyone!

The production press conference for ENA’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Doctor Som Boy’ was held on the 26th at The Saint Hotel in Guro-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Myung-woo and actors Shin Ye-eun, Hong Min-ki, Lee Soo-kyung, and Kim Yoon-woo attended, while Lee Jae-wook was absent due to his military enlistment.

Introduced by MC Park Kyung-rim as a “surprise guest,” Lee Jae-wook appeared via a video screen. He asked for understanding, saying, “I really wanted to attend the press conference, but I’m currently fulfilling my national defense duty.” He also showed sweet support for his co-star Shin Ye-eun, asking, “Our partner Ha-ri, are you doing well?”

The two play the lead roles in ‘Doctor Som Boy,’ with Lee Jae-wook portraying public health doctor Do Ji-yi and Shin Ye-eun portraying nurse Yuk Ha-ri.

Lee Jae-wook also mentioned the other cast members, expressing his gratitude and asking fans for lots of interest in ‘Doctor Som Boy’ since it is a fun show.

Lee Jae-wook began his military service of approximately 1 year and 6 months after entering the recruit training center on the 18th.

Premiering on June 1st, ‘Doctor Som Boy’ is a medical human romance featuring public health doctor Do Ji-yi and nurse Yuk Ha-ri, who harbors a secret, on the remote and avoided island of ‘Pyundong-do.’
