Actress Lee Jung-eun is set to appear as the host of SNL Korea Season 8!
Airing May 16 on Coupang Play, Lee Jung-eun joins as the eighth host, boldly taking on her very first live comedy challenge.
In the released stills, Lee Jung-eun grabs attention with transformations we’ve never seen before. From a “genius ballerina” who has it all—looks, talent, and a wealthy family—to 19+ acting with bold skinship reinterpreting her representative works, she proves her limitless range. Fans are also curious about her role as a “seductive divorcee” who charms men with her “fox-like” behavior and a mysterious “07-born French Fry Girl” who speaks in Gen Z slang.
Word has it that Lee Jung-eun impressed everyone on set by perfectly mimicking the signature catchphrases of crew members Lee Su-ji, Kim Gyu-won, and Ji Ye-eun. Appearing with the confident declaration, “I won’t hold back today,” she is expected to dominate the atmosphere of the live show. Meanwhile, Kim Won-hun is promised to deliver explosive laughter with his relentless ad-lib attacks.
The lineup of segments is also highly anticipated. “MUSMA Edit Shop,” which already took the internet by storm, returns as an ambitious pop-up store episode aiming for nationwide success beyond Seongsu-dong. The staple segment “Weekend Update” will provide sharp and heavy satire on social phenomena, including the KOSPI index, which has been hitting new highs.
