Lee Re Reunites with Ra Mi-ran in 'The Strange Snack Shop Zenitendo' After 'Hope':

Actress Lee Re shared her thoughts on reuniting with Ra Mi-ran in the film ‘The Strange Snack Shop Zenitendo’ after previously working together in ‘Hope’.

During the press and distribution screening for ‘The Strange Snack Shop Zenitendo’ held at Megabox Coex in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 13th, Lee Re said, “Ra Mi-ran sunbaenim has watched over my growth process,” adding, “I feel an inexplicable sense of comfort whenever we act together.”

Opening on the 29th, ‘The Strange Snack Shop Zenitendo’ is a fantasy drama directed by Park Bong-seop. It tells a magical story about customers with lucky coins who visit ‘Zenitendo’, a snack shop that grants wishes.

Lee Re joined the cast as Yomi, the owner of Hwaangdang, who threatens Zenitendo. She revealed, “I felt a mysterious vibe when I first read the script. I’ve always had a romanticized view of fantasy since I enjoyed watching dramas and animations as a child, and ‘The Strange Snack Shop Zenitendo’ really moved my heart.”

This marks her second project with Ra Mi-ran since ‘Hope’. Lee Re expressed her satisfaction, saying, “Actually, I feel a strange comfort when acting with her. Didn’t we work together on a project that was like my debut? Because she’s seen me grow, I felt mentally at ease during filming, and I had faith that she would support whatever acting I did. I had a great time on set and remember laughing a lot with the staff.”

When asked about her new acting transformation, Lee Re replied, “Things that weren’t easily imaginable just by reading the script were completed the moment I got my costume, hair, and makeup. The staff created the tools for me to become Yomi. I love my look. It was a princess-like outfit with a bob cut, something I’ve never tried once in my life.”
