Model and broadcaster Lee Sora had a momentarily awkward reaction when Shin Dong-yup, whom she dated in the past, was mentioned.
In the MBC variety show ‘Sora and Jinkyoung’ aired on the 10th, Lee Sora visited Hong Jin-kyung’s home to prepare for an online interview with a local agency in Paris.
While looking around Hong Jin-kyung’s living room, Lee Sora spotted a framed photo of entertainer Yoo Jae-suk and looked puzzled, asking, “Why is that photo there?”
Hong Jin-kyung explained, “It was a prop on the wall during a variety show filming, so I just took it,” adding, “I just feel excited whenever I see Jae-suk oppa’s face.”
Watching from the studio, actor Lee Dong-hwi also shared, “I have a photo of Jae-suk hyung at home like that too,” causing laughter as he expressed his deep admiration, saying, “I’m just so grateful that he is alive and exists.”
As Hong Jin-kyung agreed, saying that just him breathing gives her great strength, comedian Kim Won-hoon also mentioned his own role model.
Kim Won-hoon shared, “I also have a photo of Shin Dong-yup sunbaenim brightly displayed on my table,” while glancing at Lee Sora. Lee Sora responded with a stern face, snapping, “Is that story absolutely necessary right now?” Kim Won-hoon, realizing his slip-up, bowed his head with an embarrassed laugh.
Lee Sora and Shin Dong-yup dated publicly from 1997 to 2001. Shin Dong-yup later married PD Sun Hye-yoon in 2006 and has one son and one daughter. The two made headlines in 2023 when they reunited after about 23 years on the web variety show ‘Supermarket Sora’.
