The Association for the Promotion of Popular Music Culture, the home of the “K-Rock” sound, is hosting the “K-Band Spread Your Wings Vol.7” concert on June 13, featuring an exciting collaboration between legendary and rookie artists.
The Association for the Promotion of Popular Music Culture (hereinafter “Association,” Chairman Joo Yong-won) announced that the “K-Band Spread Your Wings Vol.7” concert will take place on June 13 at the Korea Music Copyright Association’s underground performance hall in Gangseo-gu.
Aimed at reviving Korean band culture, this seventh installment of the series will feature legendary singer Wi Il-cheong, famous for “Seoul Family,” rookie female vocalist Seo Mi, the legendary group sound Devils, mid-career band Gongjung-jeonhwa, and Sunset on the Bridge.
Fans are highly anticipating the collaboration as Devils, Wi Il-cheong, and Seo Mi share the stage, bringing together first-generation and mid-career bands. Wi Il-cheong will perform the hit song “Now” from his Seoul Family days in his first-ever duet with Seo Mi.

The event will be even more special as several artists release new music: Devils with “Yeongjongdo Sky Gate,” Sunset on the Bridge with the EP album “Casual,” Seo Mi with “Separate Room Couple,” and Gongjung-jeonhwa with “Your Longed-for Name (Bird of Peace).”
Devils is a brass soul band formed in 1968. Once known as the “King of Soul Music,” this 10-member band continues to perform with passion to this day.
Seo Mi, a beautiful singer and former model, recently showcased her impressive vocal skills by winning five consecutive times on TBS’s “Choi Il-gu’s Hurricane Radio.”
Sunset on the Bridge blends sensory melodies and narratives based on a vintage rock sound, unfolding their music like a story.

Gongjung-jeonhwa is a skilled rock band that has been active since 1988. They are drawing attention with their first new song in three years since 2023, “Your Longed-for Name (Bird of Peace).” This is their first digital single since reorganizing into a trio with guest vocals. The song captures a pure emotion longing for love, forgiveness, and peace with a retro vibe and a signal of reversal.

Chairman Joo Yong-won of the Association stated, “This concert is hosted and organized by the Association for the Promotion of Popular Music Culture and sponsored by the Korea Music Copyright Association and the Federation of Korean Music Performers. The experimental spirit of band culture is the foundation of today’s K-POP. We express deep gratitude to the main sponsor, global fashion mall APM, for their continuous support in activating Korean bands.”

The Association added, “While this is primarily a concert for sponsoring members, non-members who wish to attend can inquire through the Association or its website.”
