Lina, the beloved character from Eva Armisén’s paintings, is stepping beyond the musical stage to make a grand debut as an AI singer!
Lina, the star of Eva Armisén’s first-ever musical ‘Lina Superhero’, has officially started her journey by releasing her first digital single, ‘Flower in You’, today (14th). This marks the very first time a musical protagonist has debuted as an AI singer.
The debut track ‘Flower in You’ captures the touching story of the musical ‘Lina Superhero’. Along with the song, an AI animation music video of approximately 3 minutes and 30 seconds has been released, beautifully bringing Eva Armisén’s signature warm art style and message to life, moving beyond a simple technical experiment.
The mastermind behind this project is Director Roy Oh, a master of AI-based visual direction. Known for directing the opening film of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) and producing videos for the 2025 APEC Summit, he is the one who brought Lina to life as a vivid AI singer.
Regarding the project, Director Roy Oh expressed his affection, stating, “While we live in an era where AI can create anything, there were emotions in Eva Armisén’s work that absolutely had to move.”
He emphasized that this collaboration began with the fundamental question of “how to make a painting with emotions come alive,” rather than being a mere technical attempt. The production team also expressed confidence, noting that the song and music video will be a “beautiful starting point” for audiences to first encounter Lina’s world.
The musical ‘Lina Superhero’, which opens on July 10 at the KEPCO Art Center in Yangjae-dong, is a fantasy piece about an 11-year-old girl named Lina who loves flowers and painting and faces off against a giant monster born from trash.
