[Exclusive] Lee Ki-taek Joins '2 Days & 1 Night' as the New Youngest Member!

According to a report from Star News on the 14th, Lee Ki-taek is set to participate in the recording of KBS 2TV’s variety show ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ Season 4 on the 22nd. While the production team is remaining tight-lipped about the details of his first shoot, they reportedly hurried the scheduling process with Lee Ki-taek to minimize the gap left by the consecutive departures of actor Yoo Sun-ho and entertainer Jo Se-ho.

Since ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ films every other Friday and Saturday, Lee Ki-taek is expected to meet and build chemistry with existing members Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, DinDin, and Lee Jun for the first time on the 22nd. Born in 1994, he joins as the new youngest member and is expected to bring a fresh burst of energy to the show.

A former model, Lee Ki-taek began his acting career in 2020 through the web drama ‘Dangerous Cohabitation of Two Women – In Seoul 2’. Since then, he has appeared in various works including ‘The Devil Judge’, ‘The Secret Romantic Guesthouse’, ‘Three Bold Siblings’, ‘My Happy End’, and ‘Namib’. He also starred alongside Han Ji-min and Park Sung-hoon in the JTBC drama ‘Efficient Meeting of Unmarried Men and Women’, which ended on the 5th of last month. Additionally, he took on his first fixed variety show challenge through Coupang Play’s ‘Bonjour Bakery’.

Meanwhile, Yoo Sun-ho, who served as the youngest member of ‘2 Days & 1 Night’, is scheduled to leave the show after the broadcast on the 31st. This comes about 3 years and 6 months after he joined in December 2022. Yoo Sun-ho reportedly expressed his deep affection for the show during his final recording, calling it “all of my 20s” and “a priceless experience I’ll never forget for the rest of my life, traveling all across the country.”

Spending his final night with the members, he shared his heartfelt thoughts and gratitude, saying, “The journey with ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ has ended, but I’m so happy and grateful to have gained reliable older brothers who will be with me for the rest of my life. I also want to thank the viewers who loved me even though I was nothing.”
