Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet’s new film is coming to Korea! ‘Marty Supreme’, directed by Josh Safdie, will finally be unveiled this July.

The team behind ‘Marty Supreme’ revealed the Korean release date on the 21st. It will hit theaters in Korea on July 1, with the trailer and teaser poster also being released on the same day.

‘Marty Supreme’ tells the story of Marty Mauzer (played by Timothée Chalamet), a man obsessed with a dream that no one respects, and his journey through hell to become the best.

The trailer was incredibly dynamic! Marty is seen taking photos at a gathering of table tennis players from various countries, declaring, “I have a purpose in life.” He seems to be running at full speed throughout the runtime, as if being chased by something.

The film promises an exciting ensemble featuring Gwyneth Paltrow (as Kay) and Odessa Azion (as Rachel). The tagline “Fly to hell for your dreams” also stands out, sparking curiosity about Marty’s struggle for success and his dream of turning his life around through table tennis.

‘Marty Supreme’ has already received critical acclaim overseas. It was nominated in 287 categories across various film festivals and awards ceremonies, winning 44. It is also the work that earned Timothée Chalamet a Golden Globe for Best Actor.

IndieWire praised it as “Timothée Chalamet’s most phenomenal performance of the century,” while the New York Post stated that “Josh Safdie has created the best movie of the year.”

The film was produced by A24, the studio known for original works like ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, ‘Midsommar’, and ‘Minari’. ‘Marty Supreme’ has become their highest-grossing film since the studio’s inception. Timothée Chalamet also participated in the production.
