Singer MC Mong is grabbing headlines after explaining the real reason behind his recent live broadcast suspension and raising suspicions that the people he exposed are organizing attempts to buy false testimony.
On the 19th, MC Mong took to his SNS to share screenshots of mobile messenger conversations with an acquaintance, along with a notification message he received from the platform.
According to the shared logs, an acquaintance expressed frustration, saying, “When we all went to drink wine with your girlfriend and my friends, they tried to make us look like some strange prostitution workers. Then, someone from Cha Jun-young’s side contacted me saying they would pay any amount of money if I would just do an interview.” The acquaintance questioned, “Does it make sense to ruin someone’s life like that and then offer money for testimony?” MC Mong responded with determination, stating, “I am afraid of how many more people they will create this lie for.”
Additionally, MC Mong provided a detailed explanation regarding why his TikTok live broadcast was forcibly terminated and his account suspended for a week. He directly refuted reports claiming the sanction was a result of the content he exposed.
The notice he shared specifies that the violation was not related to his exposures, but rather a violation of regulations regarding “suicide and self-harm.” The platform stated, “We hope to be a space where emotionally complex topics can be discussed in a way that helps each other without increasing the risk of harm,” noting that acts showing or encouraging suicide or self-harm are not permitted.
MC Mong clarified the situation, saying, “I was suspended for 7 days because I used the word ‘suicide’ yesterday.” He expressed regret over how the media handled the story, adding, “I woke up to news saying my account was suspended because of the exposure, which is blinding the truth.” He further questioned, “Just how far does their power reach that all the media are looking away? I wonder what Cha Jun-young and Kim Min-jong will create next.”
Previously, on the 18th, MC Mong caused a massive stir during a live broadcast where he named Cha Jun-young, Kim Min-jong, and others, raising allegations that they were involved in illegal gambling and the manipulation of prostitution.
