MC Mong Issues Quick Apology to Baekhyun After Controversial Comments About Gambling and Album Costs

MC Mong has issued a quick apology specifically to EXO’s Baekhyun.

During his second live broadcast on the 19th, MC Mong stated, “Baekhyun is a truly wonderful person. I don’t want to say a single word [about the situation]. I am still so sorry to Baekhyun and I love him so much. There is no one like him.”

This follows a live broadcast on the 18th where MC Mong claimed that Mr. A, the uncle of One Hundred Chairman Cha Ga-won, is a gambling addict who told Baekhyun, “Men should know how to gamble,” and “I’ll give you several billion won, so let’s go to Las Vegas together.” He also mentioned Baekhyun while discussing artists leaving One Hundred over settlement issues, saying, “Singers only think about the money they earned and not the money they received or spent. How much do you think production costs? Baekhyun’s first album cost 15 billion won, and the second cost 5 billion won.”

These comments sparked outrage among Baekhyun’s fandom, who urged MC Mong to apologize.
