MC Mong Prepares for a Massive Exposure Battle: Will Other Celebrity Names Be Revealed?

Singer MC Mong has announced a live broadcast to blow the whistle on the 30 billion won fraud allegations and management disputes surrounding One Hundred.

With MC Mong declaring total war—mentioning everything from the background of MBC’s ‘PD Notebook’ investigation to involved celebrities—the entertainment industry is on edge to see just how much he will reveal.

On the 18th, MC Mong shared via SNS, “At 8 PM tonight, I will hold a TikTok broadcast with reporters to talk about past events and everything related to me.”

He continued, “I intend to reveal exactly who MBC’s ‘PD Notebook’ is colluding with for their investigation,” adding, “I plan to expose Chairman Cha Jun-young of the construction industry, his group, and the celebrities associated with them.”

In another post, he used the phrase “Badugi members of illegal gambling worth billions,” ramping up the tension by hinting at further revelations.

Currently, MC Mong finds himself in the middle of various controversies surrounding One Hundred.

One Hundred is an entertainment agency co-founded by Chairman Cha Ga-won and MC Mong. However, MC Mong reportedly left the company last July, and it is known that Chairman Cha Ga-won has been operating it alone since then.

It was recently revealed that Chairman Cha Ga-won has been under police investigation for fraud under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. The accusers claim that he proposed a partnership based on the IP business of affiliated celebrities, received a massive advance payment, but failed to carry out the business. The damages are reported to be around 30 billion won.

On the other hand, Cha Ga-won’s side countered these allegations, calling it a “hostile takeover attempt of One Hundred.” They reportedly claimed that MC Mong and Cha Jun-young conspired to seize management control.

MC Mong had previously made the conflict public, claiming that Cha Jun-young “suggested we steal the company together.” He also alleged that Cha Jun-young came to his house and used abusive language and threats.

The situation is escalating further as artists under One Hundred are leaving and controversies over settlement payments continue.

MC Mong has also been caught up in rumors of an affair with Chairman Cha Ga-won and allegations of proxy prescriptions for Zolpidem. He denied the affair, stating, “I swear there was no inappropriate relationship,” and explained regarding the drug allegations that he “received the prescription directly from the hospital.”

Under these circumstances, this TikTok live is expected to be the first time MC Mong provides a lengthy public statement regarding the various allegations.

Attention is now focused on whether the scope of his planned exposure will remain limited to his conflict with Chairman Cha Ga-won or expand to the broader entertainment industry.
