It has been revealed that singer MC Mong personally contacted the individual who raised allegations regarding a “gambling trip to the US.”
On the 20th, TV Chosun reported on a call transcript they obtained between MC Mong and Person B, the individual who first alleged that MC Mong used company funds for gambling in the US.
Previously, MC Mong strongly denied these claims during a live broadcast, stating, “Illegal gambling with company funds? If you look at the source of the funds in the accounts, the truth will come out.”
However, according to the report, MC Mong contacted Person B about ten days before that live broadcast and reportedly made comments to the effect of asking them to “be on the same side.”
In the transcript released by TV Chosun, MC Mong tells the person presumed to be Person B, “Please let me be on the same side as you,” and when Person B asks, “What are you talking about?” he responds, “I’m begging you.”
When Person B asks, “Did I visit you and use blackmail or threats to try and take over the company?” MC Mong answers, “No, you didn’t.”
Person B further pressed him, asking, “You’re saying you never used the money A gave you?” to which MC Mong replied, “No. No.” Person B then claimed, “You spent 12 billion won, and the money A sent was indeed for your gambling.”
Regarding this, MC Mong’s side has reportedly stated that the call was a “human appeal to put an end to the conflict.”
