Comedian Mija is bringing laughs to fans by opening up about her struggles with stock investing.
On May 7, Mija shared three photos on her social media account with a caption that read, “Everyone, I’m serious.”
In the post, she expressed her investment dilemmas, asking, “Should I buy into Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix tomorrow?” She added a self-deprecating remark, “Stocks are going wild lately, but I’m still in the negative. I’m such a ‘poop hand’ at financial tech…”
With Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix currently leading the domestic market’s upward trend, it seems Mija is feeling the pressure to make a move.
However, the photos of her stock account caught everyone’s eye, as they were filled with blue numbers, which signify losses in the Korean market. Revealing a loss of approximately 10 million won, Mija wrote, “I’ve been agonizing over this for days. Please give me some serious advice.” She kept the mood light by adding the hashtag “Everyone, do stocks.”
Netizens responded with a mix of empathy and advice, commenting things like, “I think it’s fine if you’re investing for the long term,” “I’m in the same boat,” “Consider the possibility of a downturn,” and “Just hold on.” Mija added to the humor by actively replying to the comments one by one.
Meanwhile, Mija married comedian Kim Tae-hyun in April 2022.
