Active dad Kim Poong is joining the cast of tvN STORY’s ‘Parenting Intern’!
In the 6th episode airing May 14, Lee Kyung-kyu and Ahn Jung-hwan take on the challenge of raising four siblings, including a 38-month-old firstborn and 12-month-old triplets. With the triplets born against a 0.01% natural pregnancy chance, Lee Kyung-kyu and Ahn Jung-hwan are set to experience a whole new world of co-parenting, feeling completely overwhelmed from the start.
Joining them as a reliable support system is Kim Poong. Known for his “Kim Poong Magic” in the culinary world—creating dishes that look strange but taste amazing—he is now expected to work his magic on parenting. Drawing from his experience as a father to a 5-year-old son, he arrives packed with baby supplies and immediately wins over the children with his sweet reactions.
But the “Kim Poong Parenting Magic” is just getting started. From his cleverness in turning a gauze towel into a bib to playing at the children’s level and even tackling baby food—his specialty—he has it covered. Since the four siblings aren’t fans of commercial baby food, anticipation is high to see if he can capture the tastes of the pickiest eaters.
From soothing crying babies and handling sleep struggles to changing diapers and running a “bath factory,” the parenting difficulty is eight times harder than usual. Lee Kyung-kyu and Ahn Jung-hwan’s frantic struggles will be a major highlight of the episode. In particular, faced with the identical triplets, the two fall into “diaper hell,” forgetting which child has already been changed. Kim Poong doesn’t hold back, showering them with nagging and showing his presence as an experienced dad.
