Min Hee-jin’s Side Clarifies Why Source Music Lawsuit Date Was Changed: “Court Adjusted It First!”

Min Hee-jin's Side Clarifies Why Source Music Lawsuit Date Was Changed:

Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR and current CEO of OK Records, has spoken out regarding the change in the pleading date for the damages lawsuit filed by Source Music.

On the 22nd, MyDaily reported that the date for the lawsuit was changed because it overlapped with a workshop for Min Hee-jin’s legal team, Law Firm Sejong.

In response, OK Records told Xports News, “The original pleading date was set for May 15.”

According to Min’s side, before the May 15 date, the plaintiff (Source Music) requested a change to either June 26 or July 3 to appoint a new representative. While Min’s side opposed this, the court eventually changed the date to May 29 due to court circumstances.

Min’s side emphasized, “This was a date adjustment by the court and was unrelated to any request from Min Hee-jin’s side.”

They further explained, “Since the May 29 date was designated due to court circumstances, it became difficult for Min Hee-jin’s lawyers to attend. Therefore, Min’s side requested the earliest possible date, which resulted in the change to June 12.”

Previously, in July last year, Source Music filed a damages lawsuit of 500 million won against Min. Source Music has raised issues regarding claims that Min personally cast the NewJeans members and claims that Source Music had neglected them.

The pleading date, originally scheduled for the 15th, will now take place on June 12 following adjustments by the court and both parties.

Here is the official statement from OK Records.

We would like to clarify the details of the matter as follows.

1. The original pleading date was set for May 15. 2. Subsequently, the plaintiff (Source Music) requested a change to June 26 or July 3 to appoint a new representative, to which Min Hee-jin’s side submitted an opposing opinion. 3. Afterward, the date was changed to May 29 due to court circumstances. This was a court adjustment unrelated to any request from Min Hee-jin’s side. 4. However, as the May 29 date was set by the court, it was difficult for Min Hee-jin’s lawyers to attend. Thus, Min’s side requested the earliest possible date, and it was changed to June 12.
