‘Mo-Ja-Mu-Ssa’ Koo Kyo-hwan Lands Film Production Support with Kang Mal-geum's Help! Fans Cheer Him On

Actor Koo Kyo-hwan’s “happy imagination” is finally knocking on the door of cold reality.

In the 9th episode of the JTBC weekend drama ‘Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness’ (hereafter ‘Mo-Ja-Mu-Ssa’), airing on the 18th at 10:40 PM, Hwang Dong-man (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), who dreamed of sunny days amidst deep worthlessness, seizes the chance of a lifetime to debut as a film director.

Photos released ahead of the broadcast capture the decisive moment when Hwang Dong-man visits the Film Promotion Association with Go Hye-jin (played by Kang Mal-geum), CEO of Gobak Film, to sign a contract. Previously, Go Hye-jin decisively cut ties with the greed-driven Choi Dong-hyun (played by Choi Won-young) and Ma Jae-young (played by Kim Jong-hoon), choosing Hwang Dong-man’s script ‘I’ll Make the Weather for You’ despite facing billions in losses.

For Hwang Dong-man, who had practiced his rookie director award acceptance speech thousands of times in his room, this selection is a reality beyond mere delusion. However, the “real ring” is far from easy. The contrast between Hwang Dong-man’s visibly nervous expression and Go Hye-jin’s sharp, steady gaze in the photo teases a challenging production journey ahead.

The key point to watch is whether Hwang Dong-man, moving from a critic who only talked the talk to a director leading the field, can grit his teeth and finish the project while leading over 200 stubborn staff members and actors. As Go Hye-jin coldly advised, “You have to get in the ring and take the hits yourself,” viewers are rooting for him to prove his value in a film industry that is much harsher than he imagined.

The production team stated, “Episode 9 will be a crucial turning point as Hwang Dong-man leaves his room of imagination and takes his first step into the real ring. Please look forward to seeing how the symbiosis between the two, made possible by Go Hye-jin’s unconventional decision, navigates the rough waves, and how Hwang Dong-man grows as a director.”
