Actor Moon Sang-hoon is taking on a brand new challenge by personally importing a movie!

During the premiere of the film ‘Nirvana the Band’ held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall on the 6th, Moon Sang-hoon shared his thoughts, saying, “Personally, this is a form of self-actualization and something I have dreamed of for a long time.”

‘Nirvana the Band’ is a mockumentary-style comedy about a duo, Matt and Jay (who have no relation to the legendary band Nirvana), who hatch a wild plan to build a time machine and travel back 17 years to when they first met. The film has already been recognized for its quality, winning the Silver Raven at the 44th Brussels Fantastic Film Festival and the Audience Award at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival.

Moon Sang-hoon expressed a mix of anticipation and pressure, saying, “It feels like when I take a friend to a great restaurant and keep checking to see if they’re enjoying the food. I’m still feeling nervous.”

Explaining his motivation, he added, “If my previous work was like cooking a dish myself, this time I wanted to introduce a wonderful dish that I couldn’t create on my own.” He also suggested that since the movie is a story about friendship, it’s a great piece to watch with someone close to you.

Moon Sang-hoon is a member of the sketch comedy channel ‘BDNS’ and rose to fame through his character ‘Moon-ssaem’, a Korean geography teacher.
