Muzi recently opened up about a chaotic broadcast accident from his past!
During the May 9th episode of MBN’s ‘Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night’, guests Kim Tae-kyun and Muzi shared some funny stories.
While discussing radio appearances and the struggle of being late, Muzi brought up the time MBC moved its headquarters from Yeouido to Sangam-dong.
He recalled that Heo Kyung-hwan had just become the DJ for MBC’s ‘Starry Night’. Since they are friends, Heo Kyung-hwan invited Muzi to be a guest for the very first episode, and Muzi happily agreed. However, there was one big problem: Muzi had no idea the office had moved to Sangam-dong!
“I went to Yeouido,” Muzi remembered. “My goodness, I wondered why not a single light was on in the building!”
He explained that when he called, he was told they had already moved to Sangam-dong. Since guests sometimes arrive just 10 minutes before the show, and with traffic being an issue, he barely made it in time. As soon as he arrived, he jumped straight into the closing remarks, saying, “Please give a lot of support to Heo Kyung-hwan!” While the production team found the situation funny, Heo Kyung-hwan was reportedly very flustered as the new DJ trying to fill the gap.
Adding to the story, Kim Ju-ha recalled her own experience in the newsroom, noting that the move happened entirely overnight so they could get back to work the next day.
