Na Hong-jin’s ‘Hope’ Set for World Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival!

Director Na Hong-jin’s latest film, ‘Hope’, will make its grand debut on the 17th at the 79th Cannes International Film Festival.

According to distributor Plus M Entertainment on the 8th, ‘Hope’ is scheduled to screen at the Cannes Film Festival through a world premiere screening held at the Grand Théâtre Lumière in Cannes at 9:30 PM on the 17th.

Prior to the screening, Director Na Hong-jin and a star-studded cast including Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, Jung Ho-yeon, Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, and Taylor Russell will walk the red carpet together. They will also attend the official press conference the following day, the 18th.

Invited to the competition section of the Cannes Film Festival, ‘Hope’ tells the story of a mysterious entity that appears in Hopo Port, located within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

Hwang Jung-min takes on the role of Beom-seok, the branch manager of Hopo Port, while Jo In-sung plays Seong-gi, a young man from the village.

Hollywood actors Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, and Taylor Russell portray alien characters using motion capture and facial capture technology.
