Nam Woohyun Takes on Philippine Crime Syndicate in Action-Packed Movie 'Kidnapped 48 Hours'

Nam Woohyun will meet audiences as the lead character Park Do-jun in the movie “Kidnapped 48 Hours,” scheduled for release this June.

“Kidnapped 48 Hours” is a crime action film depicting the 48-hour struggle of Do-jun, who once dreamed of becoming a national Taekwondo athlete, to rescue his mother Mi-jin after she is kidnapped by the largest crime organization in the Philippines. The film captured exotic scenery and vivid action through on-location filming in Manila, Philippines.

In “Kidnapped 48 Hours,” Nam Woohyun plays Park Do-jun, a son who gave up his dreams for his mother and settled in the Philippines. While still harboring regrets about his dreams, he is a character who upholds loyalty and justice, transforming into a warrior who risks his life to save his mother with intense action.

Through “Kidnapped 48 Hours,” Nam Woohyun portrays not only spectacular battle scenes but also the delicate emotional arc of Park Do-jun as he changes in extreme situations. He shows great chemistry with Park Eun-hye, who plays the mother Kim Mi-jin, and Han Jae-seok, who plays the cold-hearted crime boss Cha Dong-cheol.

Nam Woohyun debuted in 2010 as the main vocalist of the group Infinite and made a successful acting debut through the MBC drama “The 1000th Man.” He has since been active in various works, including the KBS 2TV drama “High School Love On” and musicals such as “The Days,” “Mephisto,” “Jack the Ripper,” “Bloody Love,” and “Sugar.”

The movie “Kidnapped 48 Hours,” featuring Nam Woohyun’s limit-pushing action, opens this June.

Meanwhile, Nam Woohyun made a comeback to the music scene on the 9th with the release of his new song “Boy and Girl (Feat. Infinite)” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his solo debut.
