Minji has officially claimed the top spot in the 238th Star Ranking Star Idol Female Ranking! From May 14 to May 21, she secured 1st place with a total of 20,466 votes.
Red Velvet’s Irene followed in 2nd place with 14,244 votes, and NewJeans’ Haerin took 3rd with 8,677 votes. Girls’ Generation’s Yuri (2,106 votes) and Yoona (1,317 votes) also followed behind.
Previously, NewJeans declared their contract termination in November 2024, citing ADOR’s failure to fulfill its obligations. However, after losing the first trial regarding the validity of their exclusive contracts last October, members Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni returned to ADOR.
Meanwhile, Danielle was notified of her contract termination, and Minji’s return is currently being discussed. ADOR stated, “Internal discussions regarding future activities are ongoing. Negotiations are proceeding in a generally positive direction.”
For those wondering, Star Ranking is a poll where fans directly vote for their favorite stars to determine the rankings. Mobile voters can receive voting certificates, and various perks are provided to the stars based on their rank.
