Exciting updates regarding NewJeans’ comeback have surfaced! The location? Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Documents appearing to show a recording studio reservation under ADOR’s name from April 13 to 17 have been circulating on social media. On top of that, sightings of Haerin and Hyein visiting a famous Lego shop in Denmark have emerged along with photos. Word has it they were carrying cameras, likely for a shoot!

Regarding this, ADOR told Star News on April 27, “It is correct that Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni visited Copenhagen, Denmark, with staff.” They added, “The members’ visit to Copenhagen is part of the pre-production process to capture a new musical narrative.” ADOR further noted, “NewJeans members are currently preparing for activities according to their individual conditions and optimized schedules. We plan to officially announce the members’ future moves at the most appropriate time.”

NewJeans Minji

Naturally, all eyes are now on whether Minji will join them.

Previously, following the announcement of Haerin and Hyein’s return, ADOR released an official statement on December 29, 2025. They stated, “After the final ruling on the lawsuit for confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract, we had many conversations with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and their families. After sincere discussions, Hanni decided to respect the court’s ruling and remain with ADOR.”

They also mentioned, “Minji is also in conversation with ADOR, and discussions are ongoing.” However, they added, “In Danielle’s case, it was determined that it would be difficult for her to continue as a member of NewJeans and an artist under ADOR, and we have notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract.”

ADOR further explained, “Since we determined it would be difficult for Danielle to remain as a member of NewJeans and an artist under ADOR, we notified her of the contract termination today. Additionally, we plan to hold one of Danielle’s family members and former CEO Min Hee-jin legally responsible for causing this dispute and the significant responsibility for the members’ departure and delayed return.”

Former NewJeans member Danielle

While Danielle has taken a firm legal stance, ADOR’s decisions regarding Hanni and Minji have been different.

In Hanni’s case, her decision to return felt unexpected given her sharp criticism of HYBE and ADOR, which even led her to appear before the National Assembly over the “ignore me” comment issue. Minji’s current status remains a mystery even after April has passed. Despite her strong presence as the team’s leader and a declaration of return through her legal representative, it seems she has not yet reached a full agreement with ADOR.

Since the outcome of the discussions with Minji will undoubtedly have a significant impact on NewJeans’ return, her decision to come back would provide a positive stepping stone for resuming activities (even if a full group reunion is out of reach). Of course, an apology regarding the previous litigation also seems necessary.

At the time, ADOR explained, “During the conversation process, we learned that the members had been listening to distorted and biased information for a long time, leading to many misunderstandings about the company and resulting in the dispute. We agreed that a process of completely resolving these misunderstandings based on accurate facts is necessary to recover the love of fans and the public, even if it takes some time.” They also mentioned they are discussing the timing and method of addressing various controversies that arose during the dispute. Regarding Minji, it was conveyed that the situation is not as negative as Danielle’s; while discussions following the first trial verdict have been lengthy, it should not be hastily judged as a negative atmosphere.

However, with Minji absent from the Copenhagen schedule, the possibility of her return for this NewJeans comeback does not seem high at the moment.
