Nucksal has denied suspicions that he was in cahoots with the production team to rig the game results.
In the May 16 episode of tvN’s ‘Amazing Saturday’, NMIXX (Haewon, Bae) and LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Kazuha) made an appearance.
The guests were split into two teams for a ‘One Heart Karaoke’ accompaniment quiz to win a platter of assorted pancakes. Haewon and Bae joined their seniors Young K, Taeyeon, P.O, and Nucksal to form the ‘Mix Team’, while Kim Chaewon and Kazuha teamed up with Shin Dong-yup, Moon Se-yoon, Hanhae, and Kim Dong-hyun for the ‘Rapim Team’.
As both teams traded correct answers to reach a 1:1 tie, Haewon impressed everyone with her AI-like speed, catching answers in just one second. Nucksal jokingly brought up the ‘rigging’ suspicions, saying, “Let’s just end this without holding back. People have been saying lately that the balance is too perfect, like it was planned.”
Boom agreed, saying, “We can’t let those rumors start,” and Shin Dong-yup added, “I absolutely hate that.” When P.O mentioned, “But the PD seems to like that kind of thing,” Nucksal joined in the attack, adding, “Our PD is old-school.” P.O joked that the production team gets excited when the score is 3:3, and Taeyeon sighed, noting that the PD loves a nail-biting finish.
The Mix Team took a 2:1 lead after guessing ‘I Don’t Care’, but the Rapim Team tied it 2:2 with ‘Together Cha Cha Cha’. The Mix Team then surged ahead to 4:2 by correctly guessing ‘Fighting’ and ‘Overdrive’. Haewon, in particular, showed an incredible presence for her first appearance.
However, the Rapim Team caught up to 4:4 after guessing ‘1 and 1/2’ and ‘Run Through Time’, leading Boom to lament, “This is the score the production team loves the most.” Taeyeon then accused Nucksal of being in league with the PD due to his repeated mistakes, while Boom pointed out, “It’s not something we did; Nucksal just got it wrong.” Shin Dong-yup teased that Nucksal probably knew the answer but couldn’t resist the temptation of a 4:4 tie, which Nucksal quickly denied, shouting, “I’m not that kind of person!”
For the final question, ‘Let’s Go on a Trip’, Haewon once again caught the answer immediately. Thanks to a mistake by Hanhae, the Mix Team secured the final victory and got to enjoy the assorted pancakes. While eating, Bae remarked, “The tofu looks like a baby’s bottom. I see why Lily praised it so much,” agreeing with Lily, who had previously appeared on ‘Amazing Saturday’ and highly recommended the show for its delicious food.
