Oh My Girl’s Hyojung revealed that she started her home journey in a small 7-pyeong studio and has since moved up to a 24-pyeong apartment, sharing that she saved up diligently to make it happen.
On the 22nd, Hyojung and Ahn Shin-ae appeared as guests on the online channel “Sung Si Kyung’s I’ll Sing,” where they chatted with Sung Si Kyung and performed live.
Hyojung shared an update on her life, saying, “I’ve been with Oh My Girl for 11 years, and I’m also working as a radio DJ for ‘Volume Up’.”
She continued, “Doing the radio show seems to make me calmer and more open-minded. Since I get to hear so many people’s stories, I’ve become warmer and more interested in others. I’m actually more of a ‘T’ [MBTI type] than people think, so I developed this interest through the radio.”
Sung Si Kyung recalled, “Seven years ago, you appeared on ‘On and Off’ and were so excited about getting your first 7-pyeong studio that you even bought a waffle maker to make waffles, right?” Hyojung reminisced, “That’s right. I also used to make fruit liquor back then.”
Recalling the studio from the broadcast, Sung Si Kyung described, “When you opened the door, there was just a bed and a window, a bathroom on the right, and a kitchen opposite. It was a tiny room, but you were so happy. And now, I hear you’ve moved up to a 24-pyeong apartment!”
Ahn Shin-ae expressed her surprise, saying, “Wow, you grew it four times over!” Hyojung explained, “It’s a jeonse [deposit-based lease], of course, but I saved up my money bit by bit to get it.” Ahn praised her, saying, “I’m so proud of you. You’re a DJ and you’ve released albums.” Hyojung replied, “I’m the type who tries to work hard at whatever I do. I love working and enjoy doing many different things.”
Meanwhile, Hyojung recently released her solo single ‘Purple Note’.
