Singer Taeyang brought back a hilarious memory from his rookie days with Sung Si Kyung, admitting that Sung Si Kyung’s current “mukbang” YouTube channel didn’t come as a surprise!

On the May 22nd episode of KBS2TV’s ‘The Seasons – Sung Si Kyung’s Gomak Namchin’, Taeyang joined as a guest for some amazing live performances and a fun chat.

Sung Si Kyung reminisced about his long-standing bond with BIGBANG, recalling, “Taeyang once brought my CD to get an autograph. As I grew more fond of him, I wanted to tell the whole world that Taeyang got my autograph, but I felt like I had to keep it a secret!”

Taeyang then shared a story from BIGBANG’s early debut days. “Back then, rookies didn’t really have their own waiting rooms at music shows. Luckily, Daesung was an MC, so we could use his room. Fans had prepared lots of delicious lunch treats for us. Since many artists pass by the waiting rooms during rehearsals, Sung Si Kyung sunbaenim stopped by, saw the food, and said, ‘This looks delicious’ in his signature calm and kind voice.”

Sung Si Kyung, who now runs a mukbang YouTube channel, jokingly claimed, “That was the start of YouTuber Sung Si Kyung!” to which Taeyang agreed, saying, “When you started your YouTube channel, it didn’t feel strange at all.”

Taeyang continued with a laugh, “At the time, he tasted the food one by one. After his rehearsal, he came back to the waiting room, sat down with us, opened the lunch boxes, and naturally ate them all! He just said, ‘This is so delicious. Keep it up!’ and left.”

Sung Si Kyung playfully defended himself, saying, “I’m such a great senior. I figured too much nagging could be burdensome, so I decided to show them a senior who eats well, thank the fans who sent the gifts, and tell them to work hard!”

Meanwhile, Taeyang recently released his 4th full-length album ‘Quintessence’.
