Singer Paul Kim shared his thoughts on taking over as the DJ for ‘Gayo Gwangjang’.
During the May 11 broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s ‘Paul Kim’s Gayo Gwangjang’ (hereafter Gayo Gwangjang), Paul Kim expressed how he felt about his new role.
He introduced himself saying, “Starting today, I am Paul Kim, your DJ and singer who will greet you every day at this time on ‘Gayo Gwangjang’.” He added, “I thought I wouldn’t be this nervous, but I think I am, while also feeling quite excited. It feels like I’ve gone back to the time of my debut as a singer.”
The first song selected for ‘Gayo Gwangjang’ was ‘You Know’. Paul Kim explained, “Did you see my lips trembling? I had a vague hope that I might one day become a DJ.”
He continued, “I think I really wanted to do it. Many legendary seniors have been DJs, and I wanted to follow in their footsteps, but I never imagined I’d be doing it at 12 PM in broad daylight.”
When a listener sent a message asking him to “become the chief clown of Gayo Gwangjang,” Paul Kim responded, “I’ll do my best to be the chief clown and keep you all awake and laughing!”
