Actor Lee Dong-hwi has finally spoken up regarding the rumors that one of his outfits cost 7 million won.
Lee Dong-hwi appeared on the SBS show ‘My Little Old Boy’ on the 10th.
During the episode, Shin Dong-yup praised Lee Dong-hwi, saying, “He’s usually very interested in fashion and dresses with a sense of style without being too loud.” Lee Dong-hwi admitted, “I really love clothes,” though he added that the praise made him feel shy.
However, Shin Dong-yup teased that he almost lost his title as the “standard of the boyfriend look” and the “private clothes master,” revealing a certain photo. The other cast members reacted by saying he looked like a homeless person.
Lee Dong-hwi shared, “People avoid me when I wear those clothes. But it was actually really comfortable. I haven’t been able to wear it at all since it aired.” When Seo Jang-hoon asked, “Is it true the retail price was 7 million won?” Lee Dong-hwi clarified, “Absolutely not. It starts with a 1, so it’s in the 1 million won range. The price just kept rising after it was broadcast. It snowballed until it somehow became 7 million won.”
The outfit in question was a field jacket he wore on a previous show, which became a hot topic as the so-called ‘Pumba look’.
