On their official debut day, the duo held a massive showcase at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. They unveiled their debut title track “Way To You,” which caught everyone’s attention by maximizing the agility unique to a duo. Their performance, described as “like a piece of theater,” is something rarely seen in larger groups and clearly established FlareU’s one-of-a-kind identity.
Regarding the rare duo combination in K-pop, they agreed that it makes coordinating opinions easier and allows each member to take on more parts, which “helps bring out individual strengths.” Choi Rip-woo confidently stated, “Since it’s an uncommon combination, it will become our own unique weapon.”
Their ambitions are just as strong. The two shared that they want to be known as “Vitamin Vending Machines,” promising to be a source of strength for their fandom whenever needed, just like vitamins.
They named the sibling duo AKMU as their ultimate role models. Member Kang Woo-jin highlighted AKMU’s musical world, characterized by sincerity, and revealed specific plans to internalize this by leaping forward as a singer-songwriter.
The potential of this “super-powerful idol duo” was already proven by their pre-debut achievements. For instance, member Choi Rip-woo won three awards at the 2nd “D AWARDS” held in February.
Choi Rip-woo became the star of a major upset, taking home the D Awards Discovery “Discovery of the Year,” the D Awards Remark, and most notably, the D Awards X Upick Popularity Award for “Best Solo,” which is decided 100% by fan votes.
Prior to their official debut, FlareU was invited as special performers at “KCON JAPAN 2026” in Japan, making their first appearance on a global stage.
