On the 6th, Eunseok bowed his head in apology on the fan communication platform Bubble, stating, “While sending a photo from my childhood yesterday (the 5th), I used an incorrect expression.”
He continued, “I am sorry to those who were uncomfortable due to my short-sightedness and inappropriate word choice. I realized my mistake yesterday and deleted it immediately, but my heart felt heavy thinking of those who may have already been hurt, which is why I am sending this Bubble message again. I will think and act more carefully in the future. I sincerely apologize.”
Previously, on the 5th, Eunseok shared a childhood photo on Bubble to celebrate Children’s Day. However, he used the expression “Kkamdung-i Eunseok,” which drew criticism from international fans. Following interpretations that the remark was racist, Eunseok immediately deleted the message and posted his official apology.
