Seo Ji-hye is earning rave reviews for her intense portrayal of Soon-young, the younger sister of detective Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo), in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Scarecrow.’ This incredible performance has brought her past into the spotlight!
Before her acting debut, Seo Ji-hye was a fan-favorite on Channel A’s ‘Heart Signal’ Season 1! Back in 2017, she captivated viewers with her pure visuals and was dubbed the ‘unanimous choice woman.’ She was also known as an ‘engineering goddess’ while studying Computer Science at Ewha Womans University.
After ‘Heart Signal,’ Seo Ji-hye officially kicked off her acting career, starring in dramas like ‘Love All Play’ (2022), ‘My Perfect Stranger’ (2023), and ‘Assembly Family’ (2024) before landing her role in ‘Scarecrow.’ Fans are absolutely amazed by her powerful acting transformation, which is a stark contrast to her earlier image!
In episodes 7 and 8 of ‘Scarecrow,’ which aired on the 11th and 12th, viewers witnessed Soon-young (Seo Ji-hye) grappling with the devastating death of her fiancĂ©, Ki-bum (Song Geon-hee), and the shocking truth behind it.
Soon-young was left reeling when Ki-bum tragically passed away from sepsis. She initially denied his death and was even diagnosed with short-term memory loss. But the truth came out during a conversation between her brother Tae-joo (Park Hae-soo) and Ji-won (Kwak Sun-young). Soon-young was absolutely furious to learn that prosecutor Si-young (Lee Hee-joon), who she thought was on her side, was actually responsible for illegally detaining Ki-bum!
The tension hit an all-time high when Soon-young fiercely slapped Si-young for his excuses, unleashing a torrent of fury! Seo Ji-hye masterfully conveyed Soon-young’s rollercoaster of emotions, from memory loss to burning revenge, with powerful delivery and intense expressions.
‘Scarecrow’ airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM on ENA.
