Shocking Dorm Life! Jeon Somi Reveals Ant Infestation in I.O.I’s Former Dorm

Jeon Somi has revealed the shocking reality of girl group dorm life.

On the May 4th episode of SBS ‘Ani Geunde Jinjja’, I.O.I reunited as a full group for the first time in 10 years.

During the broadcast, the I.O.I members voted on who the messiest members were, with Choi Yoo-jung taking 1st place and Kim Se-jeong coming in 2nd. Choi Yoo-jung, a self-proclaimed maximalist with plenty of belongings, confessed that she sometimes hated showering because she was “tired and lazy.” With 11 members sharing only two bathrooms, some members even fell asleep while waiting for their turn.

Jeon Somi lamented the laundry struggles, saying, “We were so busy. Our mothers used to come and help us with the laundry, but at some point, it just kept piling up and became too much. The living room was completely filled with laundry. Instead of just finding their own clothes, people would pull things from the folded piles, causing the stacks to collapse. It was so stressful.”

Jeon Somi also revealed a pest problem, sharing, “We ate a lot. We agreed to clean up together, but at some point, I just gave up and figured they would take care of what they ate. Then one day, I went into my room and heard screaming from outside. It was ants!” She revealed that food waste eventually led to an ant infestation.

Kai expressed shock, asking, “Ants were crawling around a girl group dorm?” to which Jeon Somi sighed, “We had to vacuum and spray pesticides. It was really hard for us girls.”
