MONSTA X’s Shownu X Hyungwon are here to prove their unrivaled presence!
Shownu X Hyungwon will officially begin their comeback activities today (21st) at 6 PM (KST) with the release of their second mini album ‘LOVE ME’ across various music platforms. This album is already drawing attention as both Shownu and Hyungwon participated in the producing and choreography.
The new album ‘LOVE ME’ captures the deeper musical colors and emotions of Shownu X Hyungwon, the first unit of MONSTA X. It maximizes a sophisticated and sensual charm within a restrained mood, translating their delicate emotional lines and narratives into music.
As MONSTA X celebrates their 11th anniversary this year, Shownu X Hyungwon are showcasing the musical skills and tastes they have carefully built through both group and unit activities. They are expected to demonstrate an expanded musical spectrum by expressing various emotions of love in a multi-dimensional way across different genres.
The album features a total of seven tracks, starting with the title track ‘Do You Love Me’, followed by ‘Superstitious’, ‘In My Head’, ‘Breathe’, ‘Accelerator’, ‘Around & Go (SHOWNU Solo)’, and ‘NO AIR (HYUNGWON Solo)’. Each song aims to deliver a diverse range of emotions by capturing different facets of love.
In particular, the title track ‘Do You Love Me’ captures the complex emotions of a push-and-pull relationship where love is not yet certain. Centered around a heavy yet rhythmical drum sound, it harmonizes with brass and guitar sounds, while Shownu X Hyungwon’s signature refreshing yet delicate vocals maximize the song’s immersion.
