Singer and actress Son Dam Bi has shared some adorable behind-the-scenes moments from her daughter Hae-yi’s first birthday party!
On May 1, a video titled “The Reality of Son Dam Bi as a Working Mom: Behind-the-scenes from the birthday gathering to the photo shoot” was uploaded to her channel ‘DambiSon’. In the clip, Son Dam Bi opens up about how she felt after the celebration.
Recalling the day, Son Dam Bi admitted, “There were so many things I forgot to bring before we started that it was a total mess. So as soon as it was over, I disappeared with Hae-yi. I told my husband to handle the wrap-up and went home to eat tteokbokki.” She added, “It was so exhausting!”
She also talked about the doljabi (the tradition where a baby picks an item to predict their future). Son Dam Bi was surprised that Hae-yi grabbed the microphone, saying, “It was her first time seeing a microphone. The second thing she grabbed was money, and honestly, money is better!”
Addressing the eye-catching golden skates, she clarified, “My mother actually melted gold to make those. Everyone thinks I buy so many things for Hae-yi, but they were all gifts. I haven’t actually bought much for her. She received a lot for her first birthday, and the same happened for her 100th day. I don’t buy expensive things for the baby yet. If I do buy anything, it’s just thermal underwear or socks.”
Son Dam Bi married former national speed skater Lee Kyu Hyuk in 2022 and welcomed daughter Hae-yi in April last year following IVF treatment.
