Song Sae-byeok to Star Alongside Japan's Ando Sakura as a Couple in Cannes-Selected Film 'Dora'

Song Sae-byeok is set to showcase a brand new side of himself in ‘Dora’, a film officially invited to the Cannes Film Festival.

In the movie ‘Dora’ (directed by Jung Ju-ri), which hits Korean theaters in the second half of this year, Song Sae-byeok takes on the role of Yeon-su. Yeon-su is the husband of Nami (played by Ando Sakura) and a painter who has been unable to paint for several years. While he appears humorous and gentle on the surface, he is a character who hides his true inner thoughts and doesn’t openly express his emotions.

Song Sae-byeok has previously captivated audiences with his realistic acting and delicate emotional range, skills honed on the theater stage. He has proven his versatility across various genres in films like ‘The Servant’, ‘Mother’, and ‘Do-hee’. Having worked with Director Jung Ju-ri on ‘Do-hee’ before, fans are eagerly anticipating what new transformation he will bring to ‘Dora’.

Meanwhile, ‘Dora’ follows a family who leaves Seoul for a summer villa by the beach. While staying there, Dora, who suffers from an unknown illness, experiences love for the first time, causing everything to slowly unravel. The film gained significant attention after being officially invited to the Directors’ Fortnight at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
