Musician AKMU has graced the cover of the June issue of Arena Homme Plus.
Posing with Cartier watches and jewelry, AKMU captured a passionate energy in the photos, wearing vibrant primary colors and bold patterns. Having completed their own narrative through their album, they have now written another story through this pictorial.
In the following interview, Lee Chanhyuk and Lee Suhyun shared their thoughts on their new album, which has received a great response. “I think everything fit perfectly, including the public’s reaction. It would have been enough for us to enjoy AKMU’s blooming on our own, but I’m grateful and surprised that our growth came across convincingly to people and became an album that could move them,” said Lee Chanhyuk. Lee Suhyun added, “It was so much fun. I think this is the first time I’ve experienced singing songs I cherish with all my heart on stage.”
They also shared their thoughts on being a sibling duo. “Surprisingly, our personalities are exact opposites. It feels like a puzzle. Suhyun has exactly what I lack, and I have what Suhyun lacks,” Lee Chanhyuk explained. Lee Suhyun noted, “The moment we start being jealous of each other, the team is over. But no matter how hard my brother tries, he can’t sing like me, and no matter how hard I try, I can’t create songs like him. Respecting each other’s irreplaceable roles is a huge part of it.”
