The world of ‘007’ has officially announced that the search for the next James Bond is underway!
On the 14th (local time), Amazon MGM Studios shared via their official SNS, “The process of finding the next James Bond is currently in progress. While we don’t plan to reveal specific details during the casting phase, we’ll make sure to bring great news to all the ‘007’ fans when the time is right.”
According to the US entertainment outlet Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios recently tapped Nina Gold as the casting director for the new ‘007’ series. Nina Gold is a powerhouse in the industry, having worked as the casting director for HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’, Netflix’s ‘The Crown’, and the ‘Star Wars’ film series.
Nina Gold will be working alongside director Denis Villeneuve, Amy Pascal, and David Heyman to track down the next 007 over the next few weeks or months. However, it seems like there’s still some time before the actual auditions begin. Meanwhile, director Denis Villeneuve and writer Steven Knight are reportedly putting the finishing touches on the screenplay.
