Just because it is a Carnival does not mean it can always use the bus-only lane.
It has come to light that actor Ryu Seung-bum used bus-only lanes multiple times in a 7-seater Carnival. According to road traffic laws, bus-only lanes are available for passenger cars and vans with 9 or more seats. Even then, for vehicles with 12 seats or fewer, at least 6 people must actually be on board to use the lane.
However, the vehicle Ryu Seung-bum drove was reportedly a 7-seater Carnival belonging to his former agency. 7-seater vehicles are not eligible for bus-only lanes in the first place. It is possible that Ryu Seung-bum mistakenly thought it was allowed based on the car model.

While filming the Netflix movie Good News, Ryu Seung-bum drove the agency vehicle himself, and in the process, he was caught violating bus-only lane rules several times. Reportedly, the agency was charged fines amounting to hundreds of thousands of won.
Although he had a manager at the time, Ryu Seung-bum reportedly drove the vehicle alone. It is said that he used the company vehicle because he does not own a personal car in Korea.
However, some point out that since these were repeated violations rather than just once or twice, it is difficult to dismiss it as a simple mistake. In particular, since 7-seater Carnivals cannot use bus lanes regardless of the number of passengers, some feel the driver’s lack of verification is disappointing.
Meanwhile, Ryu Seung-bum recently ended his exclusive contract with Y1 Entertainment. He is currently filming the Netflix original Dealer and has Disney+ Moving Season 2 as his next project.
