“Threw a Chair at the Wall” Adam Driver Finally Addresses Allegations of On-Set Violence!

Actor Adam Driver kept things brief when asked about the controversy surrounding his attitude during the filming of the series ‘Girls’.

While attending the press conference for the movie ‘Paper Tiger’ at the Cannes Film Festival on the 18th (local time), Adam Driver was questioned about the behavior on set that actress and director Lena Dunham mentioned in her memoir.

Adam Driver simply replied, “I have nothing to say about that. I’ll leave all the stories to the book,” which sparked some laughter.

Previously, in her memoir ‘Famesick,’ Lena Dunham claimed that Adam Driver was moody and threatening during the production of ‘Girls,’ where he played her boyfriend, Adam Sackler.

Dunham recalled a moment during a scene rehearsal where Driver allegedly shouted “Say the lines” and threw a chair against the wall. She also claimed he exhibited intense behavior, such as screaming in her face and even punching a hole in the trailer wall.

However, she noted the complexity of their bond, stating, “At the time, we were like partners, and there were also protective and affectionate sides.”

Dunham explained her reasoning for sharing this, saying, “I wanted to talk about the dynamics young women can experience in the workplace. Ultimately, it’s a story about the process of understanding one’s own authority and position.”

Meanwhile, Adam Driver was at the festival to promote director James Gray’s new film ‘Paper Tiger.’ The movie stars Miles Teller and Scarlett Johansson, following the story of two brothers who get entangled with a Russian crime syndicate.
