Yoo Seung-ho, Lee Eun-ji, BIBI, and a team of scientists are gearing up for missions where their lives are on the line!
Premiering June 4, EBS’s anniversary special ‘The Last Humanity’ is a science survival reality program. Seven selected members will test the possibility of human survival on an Earth devastated by the climate crisis.
The cast includes actor Yoo Seung-ho, comedian Lee Eun-ji, and singer-actor BIBI, alongside brain scientist Jang Dong-seon, ENT specialist and web novel writer Lee Nak-jun, Kwangwoon University chemistry professor Jang Hong-je, and earth scientist Dr. Kim Han-gyeol. Together, they will use their unique skills and wit to cooperate and conquer the survival missions.
The teaser video captures the cast arriving at the Biosphere 2 survival base in the middle of a desert, sparking intense tension and curiosity.
The footage begins with a breathtaking view of Biosphere 2, a massive experimental facility located in the Arizona desert. As Yoo Seung-ho, Lee Eun-ji, BIBI, and the others enter the base, the giant glass domes, closed ecosystems, and dark, unfamiliar interiors feel like a scene straight out of a dystopian sci-fi movie.
Upon arriving at the strange laboratory, the group is tasked with passing through four gates to test their survival capabilities. They face mysterious spaces, unknown devices, sealed passages, and time-limited science missions. The cast’s reactions to these unfamiliar surroundings hint at the unpredictable and urgent nature of the reality show.
In particular, the sight of BIBI and the other members walking through a dark passage filled with red lights and emergency alarms evokes the feeling of a thriller movie. Lee Eun-ji’s panicked voice asking, “What is going on?” only adds to the suspense.
Adding to the intensity, Jang Dong-seon is seen desperately shouting, “Throw me a life jacket!” while the cast struggles in the water, highlighting the desperate fight for survival. The show premieres June 4 at 10:50 PM.
