TXT’s Soobin shared the story behind the group’s trademark long song titles.
On May 4, a video featuring TXT’s Soobin and Beomgyu was released on the YouTube channel ‘Zzanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yup’. The duo recently kicked off promotions for their 8th mini album ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stopped Briefly in the Brambles’ and the title track ‘One More Day a Day (Stick With You)’.
During the video, when Jung Ho-chul noted that the current song title is unusually short, Soobin explained, “Fans found it difficult to memorize because they were so long, and even music show hosts were getting confused.”
Soobin added, “The company had been gradually trimming the length of the titles, but with this album, we’ve basically returned to how it was before.” Jung Ho-chul joked, “I’ve heard fans joke that whenever they see a long sentence, it feels like a TXT song title.”
Soobin also recalled meeting Shin Dong-yup for the first time during the filming of tvN’s ‘Amazing Saturday’. “When I mentioned that I have a low alcohol tolerance, senior Shin Dong-yup immediately asked Beomgyu if he was a good drinker, which felt like he was trying to be friendly,” Soobin joked, adding, “I came fully prepared today and even drank a hangover relief drink.”
Shin Dong-yup playfully responded, “It’s only natural to be happy when you find someone with similar tastes,” and added, “Next time we meet, I’ll give you a big, tight hug.”
Meanwhile, the filming set was unusually packed with female staff members. From those holding lightsticks to those who had just come from the hair salon, Shin Dong-yup teased, “I didn’t realize there were so many female staff members. Usually, there are only two or three, but so many showed up today,” sparking laughter.
