Girl group RESCENE recently took part in a pictorial for the June issue of At Style.
Having just passed their second anniversary, the five members are continuing their unique scent-based concept. They recently wrapped up promotions for “Runaway” with a more grown-up vibe. The members shared, “Our performance has upgraded, and a lot of our own ideas were reflected in the choreography. We are so proud that more people got to know RESCENE through this activity.”
Known as a “masterpiece restaurant” for their well-made tracks like “Heart Drop,” “LOVE ATTACK,” and “Counting Star,” RESCENE expressed sincere gratitude for the praise. They stated, “Since these were songs we loved first, it is incredibly rewarding to see our fans love them too.”
Their success in building a discography of hits in just two years was largely thanks to the support of their CEO, a Berklee College of Music composition major born in the 90s. The members noted, “Our CEO feels like family now. He is so detailed musically that it makes us nervous, but we rely on him that much. He knows our individual strengths perfectly and tailors the part distribution, which makes us feel secure.”
A major strength of RESCENE is their agency’s atmosphere, which allows them to try challenges that are not usually permitted for idols. The members said, “We are challenging ourselves with the mindset of trying everything we want. We are grateful to the company for letting us freely try things like the Gyaru concept or live broadcasts, which a larger agency might have restricted.”
Recently, Woni’s personal YouTube content gained a lot of attention, making the Gyaru concept popular. Woni jokingly expressed her ambition, saying, “I want to go on a music show with all the members in Gyaru makeup.” They are also confident in communicating with fans, sharing an episode where a live broadcast lasted up to 7 hours while chatting with fans.
Finally, RESCENE shared their goal: “We want to be a group remembered as role models for our juniors. We hope more friends start dreaming of becoming idols after seeing us.”
Meanwhile, more photos and the candid interview with RESCENE can be found in the June issue of At Style.
