Netflix’s new variety show ‘Yoo Jae Suk Camp,’ featuring the nation’s MC Yoo Jae Suk and a lineup of trending stars, has finally been unveiled.
The Netflix original variety show ‘Yoo Jae Suk Camp’ is a large-scale group camping show where novice camp director Yoo Jae Suk, along with Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, and Ji Ye Eun, help guests escape their daily lives by eating, playing, and having fun together. Expectations have been high since production began, as PD Jung Hyo Min’s team, known for their chaotic energy, has once again partnered with Netflix for this ‘homestay-style’ variety show.
The main poster and trailer released on the 12th promise a full course of laughter. Under the bold slogan “The guest is king, and I am also king,” the imagery of camp director Yoo Jae Suk on a podium alongside staff members with various expressions sparks curiosity.
The accompanying trailer showcases a bizarre camp schedule that runs non-stop for 24 hours over three days and two nights. From wake-up missions and morning yoga to delivery box quizzes and campfires, the chaotic chemistry between the four members shines through the packed timetable.
Laughter ensues as the members struggle to manage the large number of guests: Lee Kwang Soo as the “discipline leader” in charge of order, Byeon Woo Seok as the “clumsy prince” with an unexpected gap in his charm, and the youngest, Ji Ye Eun, as the only one with homestay experience and a “best friend maker.” Adding to the excitement, the “original homestay icons” Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon appear as special part-time workers to lead morning yoga sessions, bringing anticipation to a peak.
PD Jung Hyo Min stated, “We directed the show to add a layer of fantasy to the camp memories everyone has, featuring content that only ‘Yoo Jae Suk’ could pull off.” He added, “Contrary to the slogan, the staff’s complaints about the high-intensity schedule will be another point of humor.”
‘Yoo Jae Suk Camp,’ which will showcase the essence of group camping, will be available exclusively on Netflix, with episodes 1 to 5 releasing on the 26th and episodes 6 to 10 releasing on June 2.
