Singer Yoon Sang couldn’t hide his pride after his son Anton, a member of the idol group RIIZE, gifted him a vintage watch.
On the 10th, a video titled “Music-making father and son… but uncle does music too” was uploaded to the online channel ‘Fairy Jaehyung’.
In the video, Yoon Sang and RIIZE’s Anton appeared for a chat with Jung Jaehyung. While talking, Jung Jaehyung noticed Yoon Sang’s watch and asked, “Did you change your watch? This looks like a high-end one.” Yoon Sang revealed, “Anton flexed this for his dad,” sparking envy from Jung Jaehyung.
As Jung Jaehyung admired the watch, Yoon Sang beamed with pride and patted Anton’s head while Anton smiled shyly. Even after Yoon Sang mentioned it was a pre-owned watch, Jung Jaehyung continued to be envious, exclaiming, “That’s still amazing!” Yoon Sang added happily, “He knows his dad loves watches.”
The story behind Yoon Sang’s debut as a composer was also revealed. Yoon Sang recalled composing ‘Summer Night’s Dream’ for Kim Hyun-sik when he was 20, noting a commonality with Anton, who also debuted with RIIZE at age 20.
Yoon Sang shared, “‘Summer Night’s Dream’ is a song I started in my second year of high school and finished in my third. It took quite a while. I made a demo tape with that song and ‘The Person in My Memories’ and played them for seniors like Han Young-ae and Kim Jong-jin. Then one day, I suddenly got a call from Kim Hyun-sik. He said, ‘Yoon Sang, I’m going to do that song,’ and I wondered if I was dreaming. I didn’t even get to go to the recording studio because he didn’t call me in. Three months later, I went to a record store and saw Kim Hyun-sik’s 4th album. I couldn’t believe it when I saw my name. Looking back, I think I was really lucky.”
