Young-sook showed her competitive side toward Soon-ja during her super date with Kyung-soo.
In the 254th episode of SBS Plus’s ‘I am Solo’ aired on the 20th, Young-sook went all out for her date, even borrowing clothes and accessories from Ok-soon and Jung-hee, while actively trying to shake Kyung-soo’s feelings by bringing up Soon-ja.
Determined to “steal” Kyung-soo from Soon-ja, Young-sook put a lot of effort into her date preparation, borrowing clothes, boots, and earrings from Ok-soon and Jung-hee.
Later, in the car, when Kyung-soo opened up about his struggles between Young-sook and Soon-ja, Young-sook began persuading him to push Soon-ja aside.
Young-sook mentioned, “I felt embarrassed when I fell during the race, but when I walked into the common living room, everyone clapped and told me, ‘You’re the real first place’.”
To this, Kyung-soo pointed out the fact, saying, “Isn’t the real first place Soon-ja?”
Young-sook shot back, “This man doesn’t know how to see the inner self,” but added, “Still, to someone who knows what’s real, I might be the first place.”
Young-sook then asked, “If you had used the super date ticket on Soon-ja in yesterday’s situation, do you think you would have had no regrets about your choice?”
Kyung-soo replied firmly, “Looking back, I might feel a little bit of a lingering regret, but I don’t think I would actually regret it.”
Young-sook then said, “If I were Kyung-soo, I think it would have been hard to meet Soon-ja outside. We aren’t in a dating stage yet. I believe you can use the ticket on whoever you want to.”
This comment seemed to be a reaction to the fact that Kyung-soo had almost canceled his date with Young-sook because of Soon-ja’s tears.
Young-sook further expressed her negative view of the relationship, adding, “Even if things had worked out between Kyung-soo and Soon-ja, I don’t think I could have said, ‘Let’s try to make it work as a couple’.”
Watching this, Defconn pointed out, “She is planting a negative perception of Soon-ja,” and noted, “People who are anxious usually act this way. Because she’s a latecomer in the race, she’s taking some risky moves.”
