Group YUHZ shared the variety shows they dream of appearing on.
YUHZ (Hyo, Bohyun, Haruto, Junseong, Jaeil, Kai, Yeontae, Sechan), who debuted on the 7th with their first single album “Orange Record,” held an interview at the Sports Today office on the 12th.
YUHZ is a multinational boy group formed through the SBS global audition “B:MY BOYZ.” The group consists of five Koreans (Bohyun, Junseong, Jaeil, Yeontae, Sechan), two Japanese members (Hyo, Haruto), and one member with dual Japanese and Mexican citizenship (Kai).
YUHZ mentioned that they have strengthened their teamwork by spending time together, proudly stating, “If you watch YUHZ’s own content, you’ll see that everyone has a passion for comedy. We’re funny people.”
Following this, the members mentioned the variety shows they want to join. Bohyun shared, “There are two. One is ‘You Quiz on the Block,’ but since I think it’s a program you can only join after achieving something, I want us to achieve a unique feat so we can share our behind-the-scenes stories and show our influence. I also think the chemistry and playful side we show when we’re just among ourselves, like in ‘Earth Arcade’ or ‘Twice-a-Week,’ is fun, so I hope as many people as possible get to know that side of us.”
Yeontae said, “I’m looking forward to seeing how we handle things on ‘The 전과자’ while experiencing things suited to different university departments. I also want to try various experiences through ‘Workdoll.’ I’m curious about how we would handle working in various places like restaurants or other service industries in our own way. Since I’ve never had a part-time job, I’ve always wanted to work in a restaurant.”
Haruto mentioned, “I want to do a program about taking care of babies. I’ve worked as a part-time academy teacher for elementary school students. I’ve heard a lot that I’m good at raising young children, so I hope I can have that kind of experience in Korea as well.”
Junseong shared, “Personally, I want to appear on a program like ‘Begin Again’ where I can travel to various countries, make music, and learn about different cultures. If the whole team could go together, I’d like to appear on a program like ‘Three Meals a Day’ to show the natural side of YUHZ and let people see that we have this kind of chemistry.”
Hyo added, “Similar to Yeontae, I want to appear on ‘Workdoll.’ I’ve actually had a lot of part-time jobs. Rather than just being funny, I think I can show that I’m actually really good at it. After ‘Boys Planet’ ended, I worked part-time for over a year, usually 6 days a week, 12 hours a day. Sometimes I worked the entire week. I worked every moment except when I was attending my academy because I wanted to go there. When I worked at a cafe, it was a place that sold a lot of bingsu in the summer. It was a very busy shop with daily sales of 10 million won, and I made them quickly and beautifully. I hope I can show off those skills.”
Kai said, “If I can become better at Korean than I am now, I want to appear on ‘Knowing Bros.’ It’s the show I watched the most when I was studying Korean. I want to study Korean hard until I can tell funny stories on the broadcast in Korean.”
Jaeil mentioned, “I want to appear on a variety show where it’s just us, like ‘Idol Human Theater.’ Recently, I’ve been too nervous to show our true selves in front of the camera, but I think once I relax, I’ll be able to show a very funny side.”
Finally, Sechan emphasized, “I’ve loved watching ‘Running Man’ since I was young. I want to appear in active content like ‘Running Man’ and also join various YouTube content.”
