Broadcaster Kim Young-chul recently welcomed the legendary Choi Hwa-jung back to SBS Radio!
On the 15th, Kim Young-chul shared several photos on his SNS, captioning them, “On the last day of SBS Family Week, Choi Hwa-jung nuna visited Cheol-Pa-Em.” He expressed his admiration, calling her a “witness to 30 years of history” and “my teacher and a legend” who started her radio journey in 1996. He also noted that he is now in his 10th year hosting ‘Kim Young-chul’s Power FM’.
Showing his affection, he added, “Our chemistry is just beyond words. I’m always grateful, and thank you so much for coming.” He even shared a laugh by asking her, “Please come back next year to show me those spring clothes you’ve prepared!”
In the photos, the two are seen posing warmly in the SBS building lobby. A large banner featuring a bright, smiling Choi Hwa-jung in the background caught everyone’s attention. Kim Young-chul sported a suit jacket paired with colorful socks and sneakers, while Choi Hwa-jung looked chic in a striped top and a pleated skirt.
Choi Hwa-jung was a beloved icon of SBS Radio, hosting the flagship program ‘Choi Hwa-jung’s Power Time’ on SBS Power FM for about 27 years, from 1996 to 2024.
Kim Young-chul has also been the DJ for SBS Power FM’s ‘Kim Young-chul’s Power FM (Cheol-Pa-Em)’ since 2016 and continues to host it today.
