A scene from entertainer Noh Hong-chul's YouTube channel 'Noh Hong-chul' released on the 15th.

He shared, “I worked hard to buy a Hyundai Apartment in Apgujeong. It wasn’t as expensive back then as it is now,” adding, “While living there, I got beaten up once.”

At the time, he became a hot topic after CCTV footage showed him comforting the attacker, asking “Are you okay?” even while the assailant was being led away by the police.

Recalling the moment, he said, “I was terrorized. I didn’t realize the person was mentally ill and thought there was some kind of misunderstanding. They beat me as if they wanted to kill me. Blood was flowing.”

He continued, “After the situation settled down, the police advised me to move to a place with tighter security. While deciding where to go, I worked hard again and moved from a 30-pyeong unit to a 50-pyeong unit in the same apartment complex.”

Currently, Noh Hong-chul runs ‘Hongchul Book Bakery’, a cafe and cultural space located in Seoul and Gimhae, and continues to share his global adventures through his YouTube channel.
