Group AND2BLE has officially declared their ambition to become a group that represents the 5th generation of K-pop.
During the showcase for their debut album ‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’ held on the 26th at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Hannam-dong, Seoul, AND2BLE shared, “We want to be a group that represents the generation.”
AND2BLE consists of Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin from ZEROBASEONE, and Yoo Seung-eon from EVNNE. As an “all-rounder group” where every member possesses both visuals and talent, they have garnered immense anticipation from global fans even before their official debut.
Zhang Hao said, “AND2BLE is officially greeting you today with our first mini-album. Since it’s our first album, we’ve prepared really hard, so we’d appreciate it if you could show us a lot of interest.”
Zhang Hao continued, “I prepared for our debut while always thinking about how precious the stage and the fans are, so I’m thrilled and nervous to officially showcase it today. Please look forward to it because I’m confident we can show various sides of ourselves as AND2BLE.”
Zhang Hao added, “When I heard that the five of us became a team as AND2BLE, I thought the member composition was great. Since all members have a lot of stage experience, we can express ourselves more skillfully on stage, and we know how precious the opportunity to perform is.”
Yoo Seung-eon expressed his joy, saying, “I’m happy to debut with members I spent my trainee days with. Most importantly, I’m glad to meet the fans again. I want to make many great memories with them.” He confidently added, “I felt that when these five members gathered, we could leave a mark on K-pop. I believe we will be a great team.”
Han Yujin shared his aspirations, saying, “I’m happy and excited to fill my life as AND2BLE. I will continue to show many cool sides of myself in the future.”
AND2BLE is a combination of ‘AND’ and ‘DOUBLE,’ meaning they expand their ‘true self’ by overlapping various inner dimensions rather than showing a fragmented image. It reflects their direction to combine each member’s individuality and identity to form a unique image and build it into a single brand.
Regarding the group’s strengths, Zhang Hao said, “The five of us all have distinct personalities and strengths, and I think those differences create better synergy when we come together as a team. The vocals, performance, and team atmosphere all seem to harmonize well.” Yoo Seung-eon mentioned “the strong bond between members and their sincerity toward the stage.”
‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’ serves as the prologue to the journey AND2BLE will unfold, dealing with ‘curiosity,’ the most instinctive emotion humans first encounter. The new album contains a total of five songs, including the title track ‘Curious.’ ‘Curious’ is a song that captures the confidence and ambition to fearlessly face the changes that dangerous curiosity may bring at the moment of a new beginning.
When asked about his preparations for the album, Yoo Seung-eon said, “I practiced hard with the goal of becoming a main vocal who represents the 5th generation.”
Kim Gyuvin said, “Leading up to the debut, I didn’t skip a single day of exercise and practice. I worked hard to refine myself both externally and internally. I want to leave a strong impression on the fans and the public.”
Zhang Hao and Ricky participated in writing the lyrics for the title track ‘Curious,’ and Ricky also helped write the B-side ‘Aura.’ Additionally, Zhang Hao and Kim Gyuvin are credited for the lyrics of ‘Happy &.’
Ricky explained, “The moods of the two songs are very different, so I tried to write lyrics that could bring out the atmosphere and feeling of each song. I worked to find expressions that were comfortable for each member’s vocals and pronunciation.”
Regarding debuting with former ZEROBASEONE members, Yoo Seung-eon said, “Although there was a period where we were apart, being with the members allowed me to prepare more comfortably and enjoyably.”
He continued, “I joined the team after talking with the company during a time when I was worrying about my future, and since I’m debuting, I felt I had to put my best effort into the preparations.” He shared his wish, “My strength is my vocals. I want to remain a vocalist who is remembered whenever and wherever I’m heard.”
AND2BLE will be active at the same time as ZEROBASEONE, who made a comeback on the 18th. Kim Gyuvin said, “Since I’m the MC for ‘Music Core,’ I ran into the members. They were aware that we were coming back at the same time, and we exchanged words of encouragement. I’m so happy that we’ve become a relationship where we support each other.” He added, “I hope we all become artists who can shine the most in our respective positions.”
Hearing this, Zhang Hao said, “Since we spent time together, we are still very close. We are supporting each other’s activities with a heart that wishes for each other’s success.”
Yoo Seung-eon also mentioned receiving support from EVNNE members, stating, “Keita hyung and (Lee) Jeonghyeon hyung sent me messages of support to prepare well for my debut.”
AND2BLE also revealed their goals. Han Yujin said, “As AND2BLE, our ultimate goal is to become a group that fans can proudly say they are fans of. I want to be a group that isn’t shameful by doing my best in every moment.”
Ricky added, “I want to win a rookie award this year, and further, I want to experience various stages around the world and meet global fans. My ultimate goal is to remain a group that represents the generation.”
‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’ will be released today at 6 PM.
