Jeon Jin-ju, the wife of Bae Dong-sung, recently opened up about her health concerns.
In the May 20 episode of TV CHOSUN’s ‘Perfect Life’, comedian Bae Dong-sung (61) and culinary researcher Jeon Jin-ju (59) appeared as a couple.
When Bae Dong-sung revealed he is in his 60s, jokingly noting that his age is like “Subway Line 6,” everyone was amazed by his youthful appearance.
Bae Dong-sung shared his health worries, stating, “My wife is a culinary researcher and a master of Korean cuisine, so she makes too many delicious dishes. My cholesterol levels rose, and for the past three years, I’ve dealt with hyperlipidemia and reflux esophagitis. I also had colon polyps removed 10 years ago. Additionally, there is a family history of liver cancer from my father. My wife eats the same food, so she’s in the same situation as I am.”
Jeon Jin-ju added, “I’m happiest when I’m with my husband. We’re always stuck together,” explaining that because they are such a lovey-dovey couple who spend so much time together, they share similar health concerns.
Jeon Jin-ju confessed, “We take medication for hyperlipidemia together. I’ve also had colon polyps removed. My mother has a family history of cancer. Furthermore, I had a kidney removed due to kidney cancer in my early 30s. Last year, I even suffered from shingles twice in one year. I’m worried about whether I’ll be okay.”
