Singer Baek Ziyoung recently gave fans a peek into her morning routine.
A video titled “Baek Ziyoung’s family wake-up time, which is a daily war with her daughter” was uploaded to her YouTube channel ‘Baek Ziyoung’. In the clip, Baek Ziyoung caught attention for her sweet side, singing and showing lots of affection to wake up her daughter, Haim.
While looking through Haim’s notebook from her international school, Baek Ziyoung was impressed by the English words written inside. She praised her daughter, asking, “Why is your handwriting so good?” However, Haim honestly replied, “A friend wrote that,” leading Baek Ziyoung to lament, “No wonder. Can’t you write like this too?”
During a relaxed morning, Baek Ziyoung spotted a pacifier on the table and asked her daughter, “What is this? Whose is it? Why is this here?” Haim surprised everyone by simply answering, “It tastes good.”
Baek Ziyoung reacted with a shout, “How is this tasty?” before explaining, “The reason this is in our house is that Jung Suk-won’s close friend had a baby, and when that baby visited, they were using a pacifier. Haim said she wanted to try it too. She says it feels great to suck on it,” which sparked laughter.
On another day, while heading to Haim’s sports day, Baek Ziyoung and Jung Suk-won mentioned singer Shinji’s wedding. Since Baek Ziyoung is known to cry at every wedding, the two reportedly made a 100,000 won bet on whether she would cry at Shinji’s wedding. In the end, Jung Suk-won, who bet on “she will cry,” won the bet.
Baek Ziyoung shared, “I went with such a happy heart. Of course, all weddings are blessed and happy moments, but I usually sing congratulatory songs for people whose dating history I know or with whom I have a history. Thinking about those times and imagining them becoming good parents makes it so emotional that tears just come out.”
Hearing this, Jung Suk-won noted, “It was the shortest time ever,” and Baek Ziyoung reacted in disbelief, saying, “I cried before I could even sing the first line.” Jung Suk-won added, “Strangely, when I go to a wedding hall, emotions just hit me. It’s strangely touching. Maybe there’s a strange energy gathered there. I think the feeling of being moved is shared.”
Meanwhile, it is reported that Baek Ziyoung’s daughter is currently attending ‘GIA International School’ in Gangnam, Seoul. This school is known to be attended or graduated from by children of celebrities such as Baek Jong-won and So Yoo-jin, Ji Sung and Lee Bo-young, Park Kyung-lim, Jang Yoon-ju, and Park Chan-ho, with annual tuition reportedly reaching about 30 million won.
